Lana's turn to blog....

Because today was so tough on Mommy, she's making me do the blogging. See, today was my two-month doctor's appointment. I'm not quite two months old yet, but that's okay, I could get my check-up anyway. I got weighed and I have gotten bigger. I am 10 lbs 4 oz. I am so big. Dr. Mike examined me and says I am healthy and doing well. He does a good job making sure Mommy and Daddy take good care of me. Then the nurse came back in and she was so mean. She made me drink some yucky tasting stuff, but the worst was when she stuck needles into my legs. It hurt so bad. I screamed and screamed and screamed and Mommy held me and rocked me and talked to me and tried to feed me, but all I wanted to do was scream. I was crying so much and Mommy was crying a little too. I think it hurts her heart to see me in pain. She explained to me that the shots were important to keep me healthy, but I don't really understand that. All I know it that they hurt and I didn't like them one bit.
Once I got calmed down, Mommy fed me and then I zonked out for a nap on the drive home. Now I'm home and playing and I think I'm just fine and dandy.

It will always be hard to see them in pain, but taking her for shots will get easier. Maybe it's because it seems like they are always getting one at their check-ups for the first 2 years. We are finally at the stage where Lynnae's seem to be slowing down. Lynnae cried all through hers the first time. Now, she watches them do the first one, and if there is a second, then she cries

When you were telling your story, I wanted to cry too. It always hurts my heart when my children and grandchildren are in pain or going through a crisis and there is nothing I can do to make it better.
