This Saturday was the ladies Victorian Tea at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Last year, Mum and I went and this year we decided to hostess a table. Mum came up with the idea of doing a cowgirl/western theme and together we created our table. I ordered some special fabric and made napkins and placemants.
This was our centerpiece. Those are my mom's boots, and yes, she still does wear them. They worked really well as flower "vases."
For tea favors for all the table guests, we gave out spicy Cowgirl Chocolates and Mum brought some of her homemade blueberry jam. We added the fabric and the twine to the jars. Mum got very crafty!
.......speaking of "crafty," here's a fun idea I spotted on my friend Anita's blog:
"craft it forward"
The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice (but there is a good chance it will involve paper-crafting or sewing - two things I'm doing right now). This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! 2- What I create will be just for you. 3- It’ll be done this year (preferably withing the next few weeks) 4- You have no clue what it’s going to be. 5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. (However, if you are bloggless, like my Mum or Grandmas, you can still enter and I'll forgive you for not having a blog. ) The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Who’s in?

Great idea to craft it forward. You do not have to make something for me. you made all the place mats and napkins for the Victorian Tea, plus you made me a really cute apron a while back. I did have a good time at the tea. The message was very inspiring, and the music was great and made me cry. (Amazing Grace always does)Hope we can do it again next year. But with a wee one on the way we will play it by ear.
You and your mum did a fabulous job! How creative was your idea and decorating! It's a shame I didn't get to go, but I love the photo's-GREAT JOB!
